Project 492 – Bideford Road
Project Type: Chimney Removal.
Services Provided: Structural Engineering, Construction.
Location: Hillingdon.
Status: Complete 2025.
A homeowner in Ruislip, Hillingdon contacted us to remove chimney breasts on both the ground and first floors. They aimed to free up valuable wall space and give the interior a cleaner, more contemporary feel.
We began with full structural design and calculations to ensure the safe removal of both chimney breasts. Our team also handled all communication with building control to streamline the approval process. Once the structures were removed, the exposed walls were carefully bonded and plastered, then finished with a fresh coat of paint to blend seamlessly with the surrounding décor.
The scope involved structural drawings and calculations, building control management and approval, removal of chimney breasts at ground and first floor, bonding and plastering of exposed walls, and full internal painting of all affected areas.
Completed on time and fully approved by building control, the renovation resulted in a more spacious and polished layout across both floors. Client was extremely pleased with the quality of the finish and the overall transformation.
